When i was young and bare
Sitting by the iron window Listening to the rattling rails Staring at the flat side mountains I recall when i was young and bare There stood no meanings no reasons Heart needed only childish explanations Where future was just a night away I miss when i was young and bare I slept there with hugs and kisses Where tears flowed until fingers touched I only loved but never hated I smiled when i was young and bare A million moments away from time Standing here in a different rhyme Staring back at the treasure where I lived when i was young and bare. © Mohammad Shahnawaz 2015 (Poetry)
