Fair Tides Dark Storms

When we see both tears and smiles Events are confusing in contrast Where there's a light There's a dark shading everyone Where moon's light is veiled Floating clouds are sending intuition That light may get out of sight But they will fade away There'll be a endless night But day will find it's way The next moment reveals what We don't have glimpse of that sight It's an open eyed dream That may bring fair tides along That may bring dark storms along Just keep the eyes open With the doors of mind locked To see what comes tomorrow Bewildered in curiosity today. © Mohammad Shahnawaz 2015

Unravelling irresistible fatigue

An irresistible fatigue comes up again and again, before the end of the day till the beginning of the dawn. Surpassing it is the greatest delight, because when it ends, i meet myself. Face of my soul, Not the eyes i wear, Not the lips i smile with. I swim languidly enjoying each and every sight, listening to all the chirps dissolved in the wind. I fly aimlessly in the far end sky, with the soul-intention of going beyond everywhere i pass. It's the time when i don't belong to the chains and prisons, it's the time when i stay in the refuge that can't be pierced. I fly and fly and swim in the universe, unknown into the uncertain. But as there's a beginning, there's an end, Similarly, As there's a journey there's also a bend. I fly into the unknown until i sense the fright, the fright sown by myself, in the garden of mind. The garden that turned into a demon, Comes home without invitation, It serves doubts and regrets, fear...

How easily i forget, How easily i lose the sight

How easily i forget, How easily i lose the sight, Of how i got into shade, Of how i got my sweat dried, When i stood up high, Known of what may come, I chose it for myself, To stay under the midday sun, The sun got closer, To test my valor and will, Blinding eyes to the wall, Blood sweating from within, I stood there blind, Weak to look into it's eyes, Somehow i survived, To see that a blessing has arrived, A cloud came in, Bringing peace and joy with itself, A shade so relieving, So calm that i was out of myself, I roamed in the shade, Of blessing and peace, I hold my head high, To see, sun is close to release, I came back in, In the shade of the wall, The sun came back again, Much more sharper, much more tall, When i crawled back in, About blessing i realized, How easily i forget, How easily i lose it's sight. © Mohammad Shahnawaz 2015
