Kill the guardian, Kill the slave, They both are in me, Alive and healthy, Been there from my birth, Residing in my conscience, Scratching my flesh from within, Who are they? Don't you know?, They are within me, Within all of you, It's our 'Mind', A guardian veiled, Acts a mentor, Imitates a guide, But clever it is to gift us enslavement, It never orders to kneel, It befriends us, Stabs us in the back, Makes us judgemental of everything, Being a slave we asks it's advice, We answer to it, to demons of thoughts, How foolish we are To give shelter to an enemy, A wolf disguised as lamb, Who are we responding to?, None but a smoke illusion, That exists on nowhere plain, An enemy so strong, Nonexistent self made monster. © Mohammad Shahnawaz 2015

We keep on riding down, Down the Nowhere Town, Languidly, into the next, Feared, imagining the best, Eagerly taking the turns, Hiding Ugly skin burns, Riding and Sailing, to land afar, To rid the stains, to rid the scar, Beneath the stars, we stand alone, To see the past, to see the gone, We Stood in silence, for million nights, In sleepless doubts, in ageless fights, People, Society, Race and Creed, Better not bothered, contagious disease, Rattling trains, working machines, No place for love, No place for dreams, Nowhere Town, On money it feeds, To trash it takes, to hell it leads.

It shook me by surprise, The reason behind everything, That everything in life, Is farther than it appears, Moon and stars, Love in the heart, So close so far, It's life messy and bizarre, One moment it seems close, The next it's nowhere, It's our thoughts that cause this chaos, Where we stare and stay in the maze, Searching for answers, Thinking of something else, Seeing horizon in the distance, The desired valley where beauty dwells, But the truth has two sides, That's why it caused surprise, To see the gone, Await about to befall, The horizon in the distance, Is nothing but the reflection, Reflection of what's inside, The love, the desire, The soul which seems nowhere, Stays alive inside, Reflects what's in here, All around changing days and nights.
